Join Julie Mooberry for an inspiring presentation that beautifully weaves together the worlds of fashion and quilting. Drawing from her recent experience curating a related exhibit at the International Quilt Museum, Julie explores the many ways quilting and patchwork have been incorporated into garments across history.

This engaging lecture traces how quilted and patchwork techniques moved beyond the bed and wall and into wearable art—serving both functional and expressive roles in clothing. Through historical examples and thoughtful insights, attendees will see how makers have long blurred the lines between textile art and fashion design.

Whether you’re a quilter, garment maker, designer, or textile enthusiast, this presentation offers fresh perspectives on how these two creative disciplines continue to influence, enrich, and inspire one another today.

Immediately following the above lecture, join Julie as our mistress of ceremonies for our Quilted Fashion Runway Show on June 11th, from 12:00 to 1:00 pm. The fashion show is free to attend and will be on the stage at the west end of the vendor hall.
