Singer Featherweight 221
Singer Featherweight 221 Group
The Featherweight Group is for members owning a Singer Featherweight 221 or 222 and would like to get together with other Featherweight owners to maintain and sew with our historic machines. We meet on the third Thursday of each month from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm. Many members bring their lunch and others go out for lunch. A show-and-tell, planning and general information meeting begins at 11:00 am. The Featherweight group has over 40 active members, and each meeting typically has over 20 people in attendance.
If you need help oiling your machine or have questions about how to use it or perform other maintenance, several group members are ready to help. At times, the group chooses a pattern, and everyone makes the same quilt with their own fabrics. The group also creates items to sell in the guild’s quilt show boutique. But mainly people work on their own projects while visiting and sewing together. Group projects are always optional in this flexible and encouraging group.
Members may contact Terri Davis, group leader, directly (her contact info is on the membership roster), and non-guild members interested in this group are encouraged to contact our membership chair through our website’s contact form, HERE.
