Saturday Strippers

Saturday Strippers members have been sewing together since 2012. Each year, we choose two to three projects that challenge our creativity and often take us out of our comfort zone.

The group collaborates to determine the project’s specifics and deadline. Projects often involve block exchanges, with the challenge being how to assemble the blocks effectively.

Rules for these exchanges may include a theme, colorway, block size, or fabric genre (such as Civil War or 1930s reproductions, or batiks). Christmas exchanges also challenge our creativity.

The group participates in guild activities, making a Quilt of Valor each year, items for the boutique, and sponsoring a category in the quilt show. Members pay yearly dues to fund these projects.
