The Ozark Piecemakers Quilt Guild is anticipating a great 2022 filled with informative AND fun guild meetings and new programs. We begin by having Theresa Gallup provide a wonderful program on Tuesday, January 25th, during both the day and night meetings.
Theresa states on her website that the kimono is more than just a robe. It has become a symbol of Japanese life and culture. Usually made with great craftsmanship from highly decorated and prized fabrics, they are becoming more scarce and valuable as time passes.
Theresa combines highly decorative kimono highlights with silk and other fine fabrics to craft elegant and one-of-a-kind apparel and fashion accessories. Her work has been featured in art festivals, boutiques, galleries and even the Smithsonian Gift Shops. The Kansas City Regional Festival is just one of many venues where Theresa has shared her work with quilting enthusiasts. For more detailed information about Theresa and her beautiful creations go to her website at kimonodesigns.com and be sure to attend our January programs. One final note.—you will probably want to bring plenty of money with you as Theresa will have a wide array of beautiful items for sale including handcrafted items as well as some kimono fabric cuts.
Be sure to contact me if you have questions about the January program.
