Programs for 3rd & 4th Qtrs 2025

JULY: Join us July 22 as we welcome Lorelai Kuecker, a 16-year-old award-winning quilt designer and longarm quilting specialist! Lorelai will share her quilting journey and showcase her beautiful work in a trunk show that’s sure to inspire both seasoned quilters and the next generation alike.

We encourage members to bring younger guests (ages eight and up) to experience Lorelai’s creativity firsthand!

July 23 Workshop: 9:30 am to 3:00 pm. Cost: $25 (includes the kit). Supplies list: Scissors, Rotary Cutter,  Seam Rippers (just in case), Chalk marking pens, Water-soluble fabric pens 
Lorelai will lead a beginner-friendly workshop creating a charming circle wall hanging. Young guests (ages eight and up) are welcome to participate in the workshop but must be accompanied by an OPQG member. Let’s help spark a lifelong love of quilting!


AUGUST: Join us in August for a fun and fresh presentation from Kelly Ashton, also known as Kellyquilter! Kelly is known for her modern spiral designs and creative approach to quilt construction. Kelly’s designs range from “quick and easy” to “challenging” so there’s sure to be quilts to inspire you! Her trunk show will feature dazzling quilts full of motion, color, and her signature “spin” on design.

August 27 Workshop: 9:30 am to 3:00 pm. Cost: $45. (A template kit will be available at class for $25—retail value $35.) Dive into Kelly’s unique methods in a hands-on workshop, where you’ll learn to make four different blocks featuring spinning hexagons—with no Y-seams! Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to try something new and innovative!

OCTOBER: Join us in October as we hear from our new guild president, Kim Suhre, as she presents the annual “State of the Guild” address. Kim will share important updates, celebrate our accomplishments, and cast a vision for the future of our guild. It’s a great opportunity to stay informed, get inspired, and be part of shaping what’s next for our quilting community!

No workshop is scheduled for October.
