OPQG’s Patriotic Piecemakers presents a “Quilts of Valor” ceremony to honor local veterans on September 28, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm in the east lecture hall

Our Patriotic Piecemakers group hosts ceremonies to present quilts to local veterans each year. While all patriotic quilts made by OPQG members are donated, the Quilts of Valor donation quilts must meet specific QOV guidelines for presentation to combat veterans. These guidelines come from the QOV national organization and the OPQG Patriotic Piecemakers committee. Photos from previous Quilts of Valor ceremonies are below. These were held at our guild facility in Springfield, Mo. If you’d like to nominate a veteran for this honor, complete the nomination form at qovf.org and then we’ll be notified and contact you.
