American Legion Post 1214 to Host Fundraiser

American Legion Post 1214 will be hosting a Trivia Night and Silent Auction as a fundraising effort for the nonprofit groups OPQG Patriotic Piecemakers, who make Quilts of Valor quilts for lcoal veterans, and American Legion Post 1214, on August 5, 2021.

The trivia night & silent auction fundraiser will be held at American Legion Post 69, 149 Memorial Plaza, Springfield, Mo.

Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and trivia starts at 7:00 p.m.

Early-bird pricing is $150 per table of six or $25 per person with maximum number of six participants per team. The cost includes spaghetti and meatballs, corn, salad, dinner roll and a bottle of water.

It is a smoke-free event!  First and last place prizes will be awarded. There will be some exciting silent auction items donated by the community.

The Quilts of Valor Foundation’s mission is to cover service members and veterans touched by war with comforting and healing Quilts of Valor. They sew beautiful quilts and hold patriotic presentations to honor combat Veterans.

The American Legion Post 1214 embraces all current and former members of the military and endeavors to help them transition into their communities. As part of the largest nonprofit wartime veteran service organization, memers unite to further the principles of the American Legion—Americanism, Veterans, Children and Youth, and National Security. They sponsor Boys State, Girls State and Cadet Patrol and also hold community blood drives.
